If you are looking for the perfect way to start your day, these anti-inflammatory lemon shots are just perfect! They are a great way to boost your immune system as well as help your body detox!

Lemon

A vitamin C powerhouse, lemon aids digestion, boosts immunity, and alkalizes the body while naturally detoxes it.

Ginger

Known for its anti-inflammatory and digestive benefits, ginger supports gut health and boosts immunity and circulation.

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

A heart-healthy oil packed with antioxidants and healthy fats, it supports brain function, reduces inflammation, and enhances nutrient absorption.

It is important to use an olive oil of high quality, to make sure you are getting the best possible benefits of the oil. Choose an extra virgin olive oil - preferably organic like this one from Pompeian.

Raw Honey

A natural sweetener with antibacterial properties, raw honey supports gut health, soothes the throat, and provides a quick energy boost.

Raw honey has a better nutritional profile than regular honey, since it has not been exposed to heat. Therefore, I recommend using raw honey - like this one from YS Bee Farms!

Ceylon Cinnamon

A warm, aromatic spice known for its blood sugar-balancing and anti-inflammatory properties, making it a delicious and healthy addition to this recipe.

Regular cinnamon contains higher amounts of coumarin than Ceylon Cinnamon. Coumarin is toxic to the liver and kidneys. Therefore, I recommend Ceylon Cinnamon since it contains much less coumarin (almost nothing) than regular cinnamon. I recommend this organic ceylon cinnamon from Simply Organic!
